UK/EUのエソテリック・レコーディングスから、クラムシェル6CDボックスでのリシュー。コロシアムは、元ニュー・ジャズ・オ－ケストラ、グラハム・ボンド・オーガニゼイションのジョン・ハイズマン、ディック・ヘクトール・スミス、トニー・リーヴスが中心となって、68年にロンドンで新たに結成されたグループで、この後テンペスト、モーグル・スラッシュ、コロシアムII、グリーンスレイド等の派生バンドを生んだ、ブルース系ブリティッシュ・ジャズ・ロックのビッグ・ネーム。本作は、69年ファースト「ゾーズ・フー・アー～」、69年セカンド「ヴァレンタイン・スイート」、70年USAダンヒル/ABC盤「ザ・グラス・イズ・グリーナー」、70年サード「ドーター・オブ・タイム」、71年ライヴ「コロシアム・ライヴ」の5枚全曲と、16,17年エソテリック単独リシューCD盤の各ボーナス音源を全てコンパイルした6枚組ボックス・セットで、オリナルはファースト、セカンド、サードがUKヴァーティゴ、ライヴはUKブロンズ。各ペーパースリーヴ仕様、16,17年リマスター音源、36ページ・プックレット付。メンバーは、69年がハイズマン、ヘクトール・スミス、リーヴス、デイヴ・グリーンスレイド、ジェームス・リザーランドの5人編成、70,71年がハイズマン、ヘクトール・スミス、グリーンスレイド、デイヴ(クレム)・クレムソン、マーク・クラーク、クリス・ファーロウ(ex.アトミック・ルースター,etc)の6人編成を基本に、曲によってルイス・セナモ、バーバラ・トンプソン、ハロルド・ベケット等々が参加。「ザ・グラス～」は3曲目のみ69年と同じで、それ以外はハイズマン、ヘクトール・スミス、リーヴス、グリーンスレイド、クレムソンの5人編成。USAオンリー・リリースだった「ザ・グラス～」や、完全版となった「ライヴ」、デモやアウトテイク等のボーナスも含め、初期コロシアムの集大成的ボックス。
